Mouse Pointers, also commonly known as cursors, serve the purpose of demonstrating to the user of a computer what actions can be performed by the mouse on a given object. For example, when hovering a mouse pointer over the border of a window on your screen, you will see a resize pointer (see below). This tells you that you may resize a window, or any other object upon which a resize pointer appears.
Below is a list of common pointers, what they are called, and what they do.

Normal Pointer | The normal pointer for Furbuntu, used for common point-and-click operations. | ||

Busy Pointer | This pointer tells you that a process in Furbuntu is working, and may take a moment to complete. You may still use this pointer to perform tasks while the process is completing. | ||

I-Beam Pointer | This pointer will appear when you move any pointer over text. If you click and drag this over text (holding the button down), you will be able to select the text. | ||

Hand Pointer | This pointer will appear when you move a normal pointer over a hyperlink. This will happen commonly when using a web browser. | ||

Resize Pointers | Any one of these pointers may appear when a normal pointer is hovered over something that is resizable, such as a window border. If any of these pointers appears, you may click and drag to resize the object that your pointer is over. | ||
